Loving Lace!

It is rare that I find a dress that I love that I don't have to do a thing to modestify it.
Well ladies, I was in luck when I found this great dress from Macy's!

It is an Maggy London. I suggest getting a size up if you have curvy hips like me. I'm wearing the size 6 here.

I love this dress because it is fully lined and I didn't have to do a thing to it before I could wear it!
I wore it to stake conference and got MANY compliments on it! I also wore it on Valentine's Day for my night out with my grandpa! It was perfect for both occasions.

It goes for $160 at Nordstrom and most retailers, but I found it for $70 at Macy's. I was very excited!!!

An Easy Fix!

This cute clip from the Cotton Blossom Boutique is an easy fix for MANY a just-a-little-too-short dresses!

This is on my cute friend, but I'm planning on purchasing one this week! I heard it comes in at least cream, white, and black! It would be worth it to me to get all three!
I think she said it was around $30.

Another Anthropology Modestifying!

Another Anthropology Modestifying!

I got a great deal on a dress from Anthropology at Downeast (the ones @ 7880 South 1300 East  in Sandy and 1170 East 2100 South  in Sugarhouse both usually carry some anthropology gear!) . Problem: Too short and too low!
This fix is not for the faint of heart!

We had to add plan blue to the underneath...

And to add length to the top we added a solid cream fabric... and a mesh... and a thick lace.
Unlike last Anthropology dress, we didn't just buy a mesh with a neat edging, so we had to create our own.

But it's a perfect dress for any occasion. I can wear a jacket on top. (From Downeast)

Or a turtleneck underneath

We also decided to add a little lace to the neckline because when I wear it with a jacket it was a little low

The dress was $40 bucks, which is a STEAL of a deal for an anthropology dress, so we figured it was worth it to buy it and modestify it!
